Overview

Armenia and Georgia are two neighboring countries in the South Caucasus, located between Europe and Asia. Both countries are known for their beautiful mountain landscapes, ancient history, rich cultures, and traditional cuisines. Although they share a border and have many similarities, they also have distinct languages, religions, traditions, and historical backgrounds. Armenia is a landlocked country famous for its ancient Christian heritage, dramatic mountains, and historic monasteries. It was the first country to adopt Christianity as a state religion, traditionally dated to 301 AD. Its capital, Yerevan, is one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Armenia is also known for Mount Ararat, which is culturally and historically important to Armenians, although the mountain is located in modern-day Turkey.
