Itinerary

 

  • Met on arrival and then after a Karibu Kenya welcome ceremony, we drive along the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. The Great Rift extends from Mozambique to Jordan and is caused by a split of the Earth’s plate into 03 parts around the East Africa zone. Lake Naivasha is home to more than 150 different birds, from the predatory Fish Eagle to the Glossy Startling.
  • Check in for Lunch, followed by a boat transfer to Crescent Island. Crescent Island is across the lake and accessible only by boat. It has a variety of Wildlife but no predators. A guide will walk us around the island, and we get to learn how to come up to 5 meters side by side with the Zebras and other animals. A must do for animals and nature lovers. Back before the hippos step out.
  • Dinner and overnight is at Eseriani Resort.

 

 

  • Leave after breakfast for Masai Mara. We continue our drive along the countryside and reach a place called Narok. This is the last town for the urbanized Masai, before we enter the bush.
  • Check in, post lunch, we step out for an evening game drive and begin our countdown of the Big 5.
  • Dinner and overnight at Mara Big Five Camp.

 

  • A full days game drive with picnic lunch. Today we cover a large area of the Reserve right from the Mara River and along the Migration Route, right up to the Tanzanian border. 
  • We begin with an early morning 0630 a.m. drive. This is when the predators are hungry, and you are most likely to see a kill. Beat the ‘jua kali’ (hot sun) with a dip in the pool. By this evening’s game drive with luck, you will have seen and spotted the BIG 5, along with the Small 5, the Shy 5 and the Ugly 5 along with a wide range of rare animals and birds that are unique to Africa. A feeling of belonging to the beautiful Savannah grows as we head back to Mara Big Five Camp

 

  • Leave after breakfast, drive back to Nairobi.
  • Arrive by noon. Lunch followed by a drive to Giraffe Centre where we hand feed the tallest of all animals. A unique experience to hand-feed the Rothschild Giraffe (also known as Nubian Giraffe). Later we pass by Kazuri (meaning Small and Beautiful in Swahili) where we see clay turned into beautiful jewelry. Kazuri is famous for hand crafted beads that are made by clay that is sourced from Mount Kenya. Kazuri is a successful social experiment, as they only employ Single Mothers and Widows. Then a visit to the Masai market for some last-minute shopping of trinkets and souvenirs. By the evening, we head out for dinner.
  • Overnight at Novotel Nairobi Westlands.

 

 

  • Breakfast then transfer to the airport reminiscing on the last 04 nights spent in Kenya.
  • Take off with fond memories of Kenya with a promise to visit these magical countries again.
